Course Prerequisite and Placement Requirements
Contemporary Mathematics Dual Credit students must be either 16 years of age or be of junior or senior standing. Students that don’t meet those requirements must fill out a waiver form, available from Helena College: LINK.
This course typically required a minimum placement score on the ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer exam administered by Helena College. For the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 terms only, those requirements have been waived. However, a special math placement form must be completed and returned with registration materials. The link to that form is here: LINK.
College Registration Timelines
Students must first be registered in MTDA systems, per the semester briefing.
Registration deadlines are set by Helena College and are firm. Students must meet all requirements to qualify for dual credit. Students that do not complete registration will be dropped from the MTDA course. This course is not available for high school-only credit.
