COVID-19 Information for Students and Parents

This information was last updated on 4/15/2020 @ 9:00 am.

Montana Digital Academy continues to monitor the situation regarding Covid 19, the novel coronavirus. Our team meets daily and reviews news and communication from local, state, and national health and education agencies.

FOR ORIGINAL CREDIT STUDENTS (UPDATED 4/15/2020)

MTDA’s Original Credit program continues, per our academic calendar.  Starting on Monday, April 20, 2020, MTDA teachers will begin to gradually put in zeros for incomplete assignments dating back to the school closures in March.   We encourage students to carefully review their current gradebook to determine any assignments they have missed and work with your teacher to complete those requirements.  Our schedule for zeros is:

April 20, 2020 Zeros added in for all assignments due on or before March 29, 2020.
April 27, 2020 Zeros added in for all assignments due on or before April 12, 2020
May 4, 2020 Zeros added in for all assignments due on or before April 23, 2020
Remainder of the semester Zeros added in per MTDA expectations

Our teachers have opened up all assignments for the rest of the semester, and teachers have reviewed remaining assignments and made adaptations.  Students should continue to complete weekly tasks as assigned.

We are also eliminating the proctoring requirement for all original credit finals for Spring 2020.  Teachers are working to adapt end-of-semester course requirements and will announce those to students by the end of the day on Monday, April 20, 2020.

If you lack access to the required equipment or access to continue with your course, you need to stay in contact with your MTDA teacher along with the support contact at local school.

Our teachers will remain available to you via email should you need assistance or someone to connect with during the closures. Our help desk remains open at support@montanadigitalacademy.org.

FOR CREDIT RECOVERY STUDENTS (UPDATED 4/15/2020)

MTDA’s Spring 2020 credit recovery program remains open for students to work remotely.  You should review our credit recovery adaptation page here: link.  The Spring 2020 credit recovery program ends on May 22, 2020, however, you should be in contact with your local school to determine if you need to finish up requirements earlier (for example, to meet graduation requirements).

Our teachers will remain available to you via email should you need assistance or someone to connect with during the closures. Our help desk remains open at support@montanadigitalacademy.org.
