Can students enroll directly in MTDA?

No. All enrollments must go through a student’s local Montana public school. Contact your school counselor or administrator to explore available options.

Is MTDA a full-time online school?

No. MTDA is designed to supplement a student’s local school program, not replace it as a primary education provider.

Distance Learning


How do students enroll in Distance Learning courses?

All enrollments go through a student’s local Montana public school. Students and families should contact their school counselor or administrator to request an MTDA course.

Who teaches Distance Learning courses?

All MTDA Distance Learning courses are taught by Montana-certified public school teachers and aligned to state standards.

Can students take MTDA courses full-time?

MTDA is designed as a supplemental program. Students remain enrolled in their local public school while taking one or more MTDA courses to expand their academic options.

EdReady Montana


What is EdReady Montana?

EdReady Montana is a free, personalized online math and English readiness platform available to all Montana students and residents to support academic and career goals.

How does EdReady personalize learning?

Students begin with a diagnostic assessment that identifies strengths and gaps. EdReady then creates a customized learning path to target exactly what each learner needs.

Is EdReady only for high school students?

No. EdReady supports middle school, high school, adult learners, college placement, standardized test prep, and workforce readiness.

Clearinghouse


What is Clearinghouse?

The MTDA Clearinghouse is a centralized portal that provides Montana schools access to vetted digital courses, content providers, and expanded learning services.

How are Clearinghouse providers selected?

MTDA evaluates providers for quality, alignment to Montana standards, accessibility, privacy protections, and overall value before approving them.

How does a school get started with the Clearinghouse?

Schools can contact MTDA for consultation support. Enrollment, purchasing, and implementation are managed in partnership with the local district.

Frontier Learning Lab


What is Frontier Learning Lab?

FLL is MTDA’s statewide innovation hub focused on emerging technologies like AI, virtual reality, and immersive learning tools for Montana schools.

Does FLL replace teachers with technology?

No. FLL promotes responsible, educator-led use of technology. The goal is to enhance instruction, build AI literacy, and support strong teaching practices.

How can schools participate in FLL workshops or support programs?

Schools and educators can request workshops, professional learning sessions, or consultation support directly through FLL to build practical implementation plans.
