Hello from the MTDA offices at the University of Montana in Missoula! Our teachers and staff have been working throughout the weekend to put final touches on our Fall 2016 classes and we are open for business! Courses are open at 8am today and we’re ready for students.
For those new to facilitating and assisting students locally, please note that usernames and passwords are sent directly to students via email, both at the time of program registration AND in their course enrollment email. If you have a student that doesn’t have a username and password, there are instructions in the site facilitator handbook on how to look up usernames and reset passwords. Our experience is clear: getting up and started on time is extraordinarily important to student success in this format. Please do all you can to assist students in getting up and running. Let us know how we can help!
Good day from the MTDA offices at the University of Montana in Missoula! The Fall 2016 High School Original Credit program starts today!
For those starting the program today, here are some important announcements to help you get started right!
Usernames and Passwords
At of the day of enrollment, all student usernames and passwords were emailed to students. If you do not have your username and password, please contact the MTDA help desk at support@montanadigitalacademy.org. If you are a past student at MTDA, a new username will NOT be emailed to you, and you should use your existing login and password. If you don’t remember that login, please contact the help desk.
Program Dates
Our original credit Fall 2016 semester starts Tuesday, September 6, 2016. Classes will be open in the virtual classroom by 8am. It is important that you get up and started this week as there are assignments and expectations for you in the course. Students that are not logged in and up to pace by week’s end risk being dropped from the course so don’t delay your start!
The last day of the program is Thursday, January 19, 2017. No assignments will be accepted after 5pm on that day.
Although the virtual classrooms are open for access and student work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, our classes are considered “in session” Monday-Friday, per our academic calendar located at here: link.
Orientation
MTDA has a brief orientation program for students and parents. You may access our orientation-on-demand program available by clicking here: link. Included in that program is how and where to log in.
Need Help?
Throughout the semester, please don’t be afraid to contact your instructor for help as soon as you run into problems. Additionally, you may contact the MTDA help desk at support@montanadigitalacademy.org for technical support, or assistance contacting an instructor if you are not getting a response. We want you to be successful in online courses!

Hello from the Montana Digital Academy offices in Missoula! As previously announced, open enrollment ended on our “Guaranteed Enrollment Deadline” on September 1, 2016. However, we have added sections to as many courses as possible to keep enrollments open. A list of open classes appears at this link: HERE. The list is updated in real time. Enrollment in open courses is first come, first served. We are unable to reserve spots.
The final deadline for enrollment is Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 6pm. We do want to caution you that students starting late in the program often experience trouble getting caught up to speed. We ask that you assist the student and MTDA teacher by pushing that student to get logged in right away and completing assignments.

Good morning from Missoula!
Remember, today, September 1, 2016, is the guaranteed enrollment deadline for high school original credit courses.
What does “guaranteed enrollment” mean? At the end of the day today, MTDA staff will section off all original credit courses and secure appropriate staffing for the courses. Starting tomorrow, MTDA may continue to have open slots in courses, but, once they fill, no additional slots are available for enrollment, no matter the circumstance. We may receive drops in courses, however, MTDA has no fair means of keeping a “waiting list,” so, you will need to monitor the open course list and enroll if slots open.
The absolute final deadline for enrollment is Tuesday, September 13, 2016. However, past data suggests that students that start late in their online course do not do as well as those that start their course on time.

Good morning from the Montana Digital Academy offices in Missoula!
As a reminder, the late finish deadline for the summer credit recovery program is today, August 12th. We will have teaching staff available until early afternoon, so, please make sure that you turn in any assignments before the noon hour.
There is no extension available for the summer credit recovery program as the classes were due last Friday.
