MTDA Announcement

School Year 2024-2025 EdReady Montana Briefing
for
Counselors, Administrators and Site Facilitators

Note to students and parents: This information is intended for distribution to schools and districts only and may contain details that do not apply to your local district’s participation in MTDA services. If you are interested in enrolling in EdReady with Montana Digital Academy, EdReady does allow anyone in Montana to participate at no cost, however we like to make sure that we advise students/parents as to their best solution if their school is utilizing our program.

EdReady Montana is Offered at No Cost to Montanans!

Since 2014, EdReady Montana has been available to all Montanans at no cost, thanks to a generous gift from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation. This support allows MTDA’s EdReady Montana program, along with the team that assists schools in using the program effectively, to be offered for free. Over the past decade, hundreds of schools have partnered with our team to tailor the program to best meet their students’ needs. If you have any questions about your school’s use of the program or how to enroll yourself, please contact MTDA.support@mtda.org

Needs Assessment and Setup

  • Programs Supported: Schools interested in using EdReady to help students learn basic math skills from grade 4 to Adult and Higher Ed and/or English skills from grade 9 and Adult or Higher Ed should reach out to our team to set up a needs assessment discussion.  Our most common implementations involve helping students through key transitions in their educational journey and helping schools find and address gaps in student learning.  Examples include:
    • Middle School/Upper Elementary Skills to Algebra Readiness
    • Middle School to High School Readiness
    • HiSET/GED Preparation
    • ACT/SAT/Standardized Test Preparation
    • High School to College for Math and/or English Readiness
    • College Placement in Math and/or English
    • Career and Technical Education prep for math and/or English skills
  • Ambassador and Local Support Model: Schools will utilize both the no cost program as well as the professional development we offer to run the program well in schools (also at no cost).  Our team of EdReady Ambassadors will schedule a series of 3-4 efficient meetings to help set up the program for your school.  The size and scope of your school and/or implementation will help us set a more specific timeline and/or total time that is needed.  Meetings include:
    • Needs assessment
    • Setup and Getting Ready for Day 1
    • Interpretation of initial diagnostic results
    • Planning for instruction to best meet the needs of your students and school
  • Student Accounts: The EdReady system, just like all other MTDA programs, requires individual student accounts.  We do not require unique email addresses as other programs do, rather we rely on a small data set made up of the following fields to help us identify students within our system, for aggregate reporting purposes and technical support/helpdesk verification processes.
  • Final Note: Our team will work closely with each local school partner to design and deliver the program that best meets your specific needs.

Basic Program Information

  • EdReady is an online or blended learning support tool for basic math and English skills.
  • EdReady use depends on the local school’s implementation plan.  There is no formal calendar involved.
  • EdReady is accessible 24 hours a day/7 days a week through a basic web browser on a device that can access the Internet.  Quality of experience goes up when screens are larger than cell phones though it is possible to take part on other devices (it is not recommended).
  • Our team is anxious to talk to you wherever a school or educator is looking to help address needs for basic Math and English Skills in Montana.  Set up a needs assessment call today!
