The Credit Recovery website PLATO (PLE) is up and working.
We’ve received notice that Plato is down. We’ve been in touch with Plato and they don’t expect the outage to last long. We’ll provide an update when we know more.
Montana Digital Academy’s Spring 2015 credit recovery semester will end on Friday, June 5, 2015. Here are some specific details about how we will proceed at the end of the semester.
- As has been the case since Fall 2013, we will not transfer progress from semester to semester and students were expected to complete the class within the semester parameters. Students who do not complete a Spring 2015 class will need to restart the semester curriculum if they reenroll in the Summer 2015 or Fall 2015 program.
- Friday June 5, 2015 is the final day of the semester program. Extensions are only available if the student has an individual situation justifying an extension (reasons may include a family emergency during the last week, illness impacting the last week or other acute emergency). To discuss the situation, please contact the support desk, firstname.lastname@example.org.
- If a student believes they have completed a class, they can help facilitate their exit by contacting their academic coach via email ASAP.
- Due to the volume of offline assignments submitted at the end of the term, students and sites should expect a minimum of a one-business-day turnaround in completion of grading of all offline assignments.
If you have any questions, please contact a member of our support staff and we’ll be happy to assist. email@example.com
A reminder that Friday, June 5, 2015 is the last day of the Spring 2015 credit recovery semester.
All offline assignments, proctored exams and other requirements must be completed by 5pm on that day.
No extended semester is available, so, please be sure you are 100% complete with all course requirements before then!
Attention site facilitators: All grades except for a handful of incompletes is available now in GeniusSIS. Below is a link to the tutorials in the site facilitator handbooks to run grade reports on your students

MTDA has received notification from Edmentum that PLE is experiencing issues this morning. From Edmentum:
“We are currently experiencing issues in PLE such as slowness, server errors logging in, students assignments page stuck loading new assignments, new assignments not displaying in learner view, and blank Edit status page. We are working to resolve them as quickly as possible. We will let you know as soon as we have an update.”
We will keep you up to date in this location when we hear updates. We apologize for the inconvenience.
Update @ 9:04am: Edmentum has reported to MTDA that they expect to fix the problem “within the hour.”
Update @ 11:38am: From Edmentum: “This morning we experienced an issue with the PLE application causing some users to be unable to login, slowness while logging in, and newly assigned students unable to access assignments. Our Development team has since resolved this issue.”
This morning MTDA was made aware of server problems Plato is experiencing. Plato is working hard to resolve their server issues. No data is lost, however teachers cannot unlock tests or see student progress in facilitator accounts. The program is functioning for students unless they need a test unlocked. We will send additional updates as information is released from Plato about their server problems.
UPDATE: The issue has been resolved. Please direct any questions or reports of additional issues to support (at) montanadigitalacademy.org.
Attention all Advanced Placement students:
Please see this link for the 2015 Advanced Placement bulletin for students and parents from the College Board.
As a reminder, MTDA has no means to administer AP exams, so, if you intend to sit for the exam in May, you MUST contact your local school to facilitate organizing a means of doing so.
Through a partnership with Tutor.com, Montana Digital Academy will offer 24/7 online tutoring that connects you one-to-one with a subject expert tutor the minute you need assistance. In addition, you can access these subject expert tutors to review your written documents. The tutoring service can be accessed from any internet-enabled computer or mobile device.
We are committed to providing you with the best possible tools to achieve your learning goals within our program. So the next time you are “stuck” in the learning process, access a tutor and keeping your learning moving forward!
Attention all schools, students and parents:
Like most schools and government offices across the state, MTDA offices in Missoula will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2015 for President’s Day.
Although virtual classrooms will remain open during the entire weekend, teachers may not respond to emails until our program resumes on Tuesday, February 17, 2015.
